The University of Houston Law Center (UHLC) invites applications for a tenured Associate or Full Professor position in health law to begin in the Fall 2027 term. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a chair or professorship depending on experience and qualifications.
Applicants for the position must hold a J.D. degree (or the equivalent) and have an excellent record of health law scholarship, have made substantial scholarly contributions to that specific discipline, possess a strong teaching record, and have a record that demonstrates a proven commitment to service indicating success as a future member of the community of the University of Houston Law Center (UHLC) and the University of Houston (UH) more broadly.
Rank at the time of appointment will be made based on academic and scholarly record.
This position requires teaching coverage in upper-level health law courses. Willingness to teach elsewhere in the UHLC curriculum, including 1L courses or other courses covered on the bar exam, is also a positive factor. The successful candidate may be eligible for a chair or professorship depending on experience and qualifications.
