The Cross Functional Team Member – Teacher Certification is an integral part of a diverse and dynamic team composed of individuals from different functional areas within the District. The primary role will be to collaborate with team members, contribute your expertise, and work towards achieving common goals. The Cross Functional Team Member – Teacher Certification will participate in cross-functional projects, leveraging knowledge and skills to drive innovation, streamline processes, and deliver successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with Human Resources, campus administrators, mentors, universities, and Educator Preparation Programs (EPPs) to support participant placement, retention, and successful program performance and completion.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the district, Alternative Certification Program (ACP) providers, Registered Apprenticeship partners, universities, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with Texas Education Agency (TEA), U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship standards, district policies, and Educator Preparation Program requirements.
  • Monitor participant progress by tracking apprentice and ACP candidate/intern completion of program benchmarks, performance, and maintaining regular communication with universities and EPPs.
  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, mentor assignments, and ongoing participant support to ensure effective coaching, communication, and program success.
  • Coordinate district-wide recruitment and engagement events, including university fairs, job fairs, and informational sessions.
  • Support program coursework, coordinator training, and professional learning by identifying trends, monitoring effectiveness, and addressing participant needs.
  • Execute assigned responsibilities accurately, on time, and in alignment with program goals and district expectations.
  • Collaborate across departments to achieve shared goals, align priorities, and ensure project success.
  • Communicate openly and consistently by sharing information, updates, and ideas to strengthen cross-functional collaboration.
  • Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve challenges and support effective decision-making.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, innovation, and program effectiveness.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and program requirements to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Share best practices and expertise to promote continuous learning and strengthen team performance.
  • Expand knowledge of district functions and partner organizations to enhance cross-functional collaboration and organizational effectiveness.
  • Qualifications

    EDUCATION

    Bachelor's degree

    WORK EXPERIENCE

    Experience working in cross-functional teams or projects, preferably within the education field.

    TYPE OF SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION

    Microsoft Office
    Proficiency in relevant software and tools used by the cross-functional team.

    LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

    Work Leadership. Regularly provides project management or team leadership to a group of two or more employees but does not have formal supervisory responsibility. Leading and directing is restricted to monitoring work and providing guidance on escalated issues. Most of work time is spent performing many of the same duties they are leading.

    WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT

    Work is substantially complex, varied and regularly requires the selection and application of technical and detailed guidelines. Independent judgment is required to identify, select, and apply the most appropriate methods as well as interpret precedent.
