About the role Bridge Year Education & Career Pathways Program

This program/role is designed for new, up and coming, and early career professionals interested in gaining hands-on experience in education, workforce development, and youth engagement while supporting career exploration opportunities for students and also growing as professionals.
CEL Associates play an important role in Bridge Year’s Career Test Drive fairs
, helping guide students through real-world career experiences and supporting educators, partners, and event operations.
CEL Associates support Bridge Year programs by:
Career Exploration Leaders (CELs) are Bridge Year’s front-facing youth leaders who help guide and inspire students at our
Career Test Drive® fairs, workshops, and community events. CELs assist with setting up and running the fairs, welcoming students and community participants, facilitating hands-on career modules, sharing a variety of career journeys, and more.
Some examples look like:
- Assisting with student career exploration events
- Helping guide students through career pathway experiences
- Representing Bridge Year professionally at school and community events
- Supporting event operations and student engagement
- Creating a welcoming, organized environment for student learning
This position is based in Houston, Texas. This role offers the opportunity to work and travel throughout the Greater Houston Area, Harris County and sometimes beyond. Candidates should be comfortable driving to various locations as part of their role. Mileage is reimbursed at the current federal rate.
Professional Development Through CEL AcademyAll Associates participate in CEL Academy
, Bridge Year’s structured training and professional development program.
CEL Academy prepares Associates to confidently support large-scale student career events and develop key professional skills, including:
- Youth engagement and facilitation
- Professional communication
- Event coordination and leadership
- Public speaking and group management

Compensation:CEL Associates are paid through a structured growth-based model:
$17-$23/hour :
CEL Associates are paid through a growth-based model.
Pay rates and growth are aligned with training and completion of CEL Academy.
