University of Houston is hiring an Academic Advisor 3 - Undergraduate Business Programs. Based in the

C. T. Bauer College of Business, the advisor handles complex advising cases, designs student success and retention programs, and mentors junior advising staff. The role also serves as a liaison between academic departments and the advising center.

  • Advise students on complex academic plans, including double majors and transfer credit evaluation.
  • Design and implement student success programs and retention strategies.
  • Train and mentor Academic Advisor 1 and 2 staff.
  • Process academic forms, graduation applications, and event planning for undergraduate programs.
  • Promote Bauer majors and minors through class and student organization presentations.
  • Analyze advising data and recommend improvements, serving as liaison to academic departments.
  • 4-year degree and 3+ years of directly job-related experience.
  • $49,400 - $56,200 per year.
