Provides comprehensive advising to a diverse student population with moderate independence. Handles more complex cases and supports student success initiatives.

• 1. Advises students on academic planning and degree completion strategies, as well as academic progress concerns (probation,retention).
• 2. Analyzes degree audits and recommends solutions.
• 3. Identifies at-risk students and develops intervention plans.
• 4. Participates in recruitment, advising workshops, and outreach.
• 5. Collaborates with faculty and departments on student issues.
• 6. Maintains caseload of students and tracks outcomes.
• 7. Processes Veteran's Administration paperwork, writes graduation verification letters, and provides financial aid appeals.
• 8. May assist in recruiting high school and community college students and may make presentations at special events.
• 9. Performs other job-related duties as required.

Experience will be considered in lieu of education.

Education will be considered in lieu of experience.

MQ:
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtainedthrough a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a collegeor university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience.
