Job Description
Play a vital role in supporting students’ growth and well-being in a K-12 educational setting as a contracted School Psychologist. Collaborate with a dedicated team of educators, administrators, and families to promote positive academic and social outcomes for students. Your expertise will help shape a nurturing environment where every learner can succeed.
Key
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid School Psychologist credential or license in Texas
- Master’s or higher degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Experience in administering psycho educational assessments and interpreting results
- Knowledge of special education processes and requirements
- Skilled communicator, able to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Compassionate and adaptable mindset, dedicated to student advocacy
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify students’ learning and behavioral needs
- Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEP)
- Provide direct counseling, crisis intervention, and guidance to students
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators on best practices for student support
- Offer recommendations for classroom accommodations and behavioral strategies
- Document and maintain accurate records in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines
- Deliver presentations and training to staff on relevant mental health topics
- Participate in response-to-intervention (RTI) and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) processes
