Maternity Cover with Opportunity for a Permanent Position

Step One International School is seeking an experienced and highly motivated English Teacher for Years 5 and 6 to join our team immediately.
This position will initially provide maternity cover, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent teaching position for the right candidate.
Step One International School is a well-established international primary school, centrally located in Al Hilal, Doha, Qatar. The school delivers the Cambridge International Curriculum and is accredited by Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education through QNSA.
Our school community is truly international, with 27 nationalities represented within our student body and 12 nationalities among our staff. We are looking for an excellent teacher who can contribute to the strong teaching and learning already taking place across our school.
The successful candidate will:- Teach English to students in Years 5 and 6 within an international school environment.
- Deliver engaging, well-structured and differentiated lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum.
- Use assessment data and evidence of student learning to inform planning and instruction.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support high standards of teaching and learning.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to ensuring that Every Child Succeeds.
- Contribute positively to the wider life and professional culture of the school.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant field.
- Recognized teaching qualification/certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant classroom teaching experience preferred.
- Strong spoken and written English.
- Experience teaching upper primary/Key Stage 2 is highly desirable.
- Experience with the Cambridge curriculum is an advantage.
- Currently residing in Qatar.
- Family sponsorship is preferred.
- Available to join immediately or at short notice.
