Overview

Serves as a survey field team member supporting and performing a variety of survey functions to determine the precise location of property boundaries and facilities with the measurement of lines, area, contours, elevations, angles, and points for a variety of purposes. Assists with recording and compiling data, notes, and sketches to describe work performed. This is a 3-month contract with extensions.

Essential Functions

• Performs various survey activities to efficiently support the survey crew/team, including:
• Assists Survey Team to locate facilities using a total station, sub-surface locating devices, global positioning equipment, levels, etc.
• Maintains cleans and adjusts equipment to ensure that required accuracy can be obtained.
• Coordinates activities and maintains communications between crew/team members and chief.

Education Description

• Requires a high school education or equivalent knowledge.
• Certifications as a Survey Technician a plus.
