Clayton Services is searching for an HSE Advisor to join a thriving industrial services company in North Houston. The HSE Advisor will be responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing health, safety, and environmental programs across field and facility operations to ensure regulatory compliance and a zero-incident safety culture.
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $24.00 – $28.00/hour

- Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor job sites, facilities, and field operations for safe work practices
- Lead safety audits, inspections, and hazard mitigation efforts
- Train employees on forklift, crane, PPE usage, and other equipment safety procedures
- Maintain OSHA records, reporting logs, and workers' compensation documentation
- Serve as the primary safety contact for employees, customers, and management
- Lead and conduct regular safety meetings and training programs across the organization
- Develop safety training materials and resources for employees
- Support contractor safety programs and crisis management initiatives
- Coordinate with HR, legal, insurance, and risk management on safety-related matters
- Maintain the HSE budget and safety program documentation
- Provide environmental and emissions documentation required by customers
- Promote a behavior-based, zero-incident safety culture throughout the company
- Perform additional duties as assigned
HSE Advisor
Skills and Abilities
:
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation guidelines, and safety compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across all levels
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management systems
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to build relationships with field personnel, management, and customers
- Customer-service mindset with strong attention to detail
HSE Advisor Education and Experience:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
- Experience in safety within commercial, industrial, or field service environments preferred
- OSHA 300 log and reporting experience preferred
- OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 qualified
- HAZWOPER training preferred
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification preferred
