Occupational Health & Safety, Field/Service Technician
Kelly® is seeking an experienced Field Safety Technician to join the Safety Team for top client in Sabine Pass, TX. This is a high-impact role in a large-scale, complex plant environment with over 500 personnel onsite at any given time.
Please Note:
- No living allowance provided – local candidates only.
- Must live within 1 hour of the plant.
- Role is 80% field-based, 20% permit office.
Pay: $45 to $55 / per hour (DOE)
Duration: 12-24 months
Schedule:
Mon-Fri, 6AM – 3:30PM (OT on weekends occasionally). Late 2026, shiftwork for 6-12 weeks, then return to regular schedule
- Report to Safety and Health Supervisor.
- Support and promote site Safety and Health programs; actively engage field personnel.
- Serve as a visible safety leader—coach and mentor employees and contractors.
- Interface with all departments: staff, contractors, subcontractors.
- Assist in implementing SSH&E programs: review start work checks, encourage risk assessments, and lead toolbox talks.
- Conduct frequent hazard identification and safety walks; participate in incident investigations as requested.
- Promote and administer site recognition/rewards programs.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a Safety role supporting large projects (250+ people preferred; site has 500+ daily).
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Occupational Safety & Health or related field.
- OSHA 30 & OSHA 510 (or higher).
- Experience with lifting/rigging, cranes, confined space, working at heights.
- Work permitting experience (elevated work, crane lifts, confined space, excavation, LOTO, etc.).
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills (written & verbal; able to speak to large groups).
- Must frequently lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Extensive walking, climbing stairs/ladders in diverse work environments.
- Ability to work in high-stress environments with many moving parts.
- Must wear required PPE at all times (FRC, hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses/footwear, respirator, etc.).
- TWIC required.
- State-issued driver’s license and reliable transportation.
