overview and responsibilities

The Senior Staff Representative will perform a daily review of all interior discrepancies identified by internal and external customers, ensure all discrepancies identified are properly documented and scheduled for corrective action in a timely manner. Each interior deferral is reviewed to ensure required materials as well as man‑power requirements are accurate. Deferrals requiring materials not set up or in stock are forwarded to AOG (Aircraft on the ground) and Inventory Performance to ensure timely purchase.

Review commonly seen discrepancies and coordinate with Inventory Performance to set up and allocate required materials to avoid future deferrals. Team updates log pages that require troubleshooting to include reference data and instructions to aid technicians accomplishing repairs. Team reviews changes to current aircraft configurations to ensure materials are set up and allocated to support the repair of these added items.

Performs daily interior condition and workability reporting to ensure cabin maintenance is performed as scheduled and open discrepancies on aircraft are corrected promptly. In addition, you will track chronic items that plague the interior condition and on‑time performance, works with Engineering and manufacturers to find solutions. Answer complaints from United Voices and review audits from the cabin audit team, opens log page deferrals for items identified by these groups and schedules them for correction in a timely manner.

  • Reviews and tracks all open interior deferrals and ensures materials are available for the corrective action, updates interior deferrals with troubleshooting, reference data, man‑power requirements and materials which will aid in the timely closing of each discrepancy
  • Schedules deferrals showing material availability in a station and notifies local field planning and station maintenance of these scheduled deferrals
  • Monitors all deferrals requiring materials which have not been set up or are not in stock
  • Works with AOG and Stores Logistics team to order and move materials to stations where work can be performed
  • Works with Inventory Performance to ensure locations are allocated the parts to support assigned fleets
  • Alerts Inventory Performance of new material requirements such as new aircraft and changes to current aircraft to ensure materials are set up and allocated to support the repair of these new items
  • Reviews all INT deferrals daily to ensure they have been deferred under the proper deferral type
  • Works with TOMC (Technical Operations Maintenance Control) to correct discrepant deferrals
  • Monitors other cabin appearance deferral (HCK, CLN,) types to ensure discrepancies deferred under these codes are worked as well
  • Tracks chronic discrepancies which are causing delays or degraded appearance on the fleet and create an action plan to address
  • Work with Engineering and Maintenance Programs to adjust in the maintenance program or provide product improvements to the problem area
  • Work with inventory planning to ensure materials are ordered to support new installations and allocated to correct stations
  • Answers internal complaints from United Voices and others concerning aircraft discrepancies and works a 10‑day plan to address and correct
  • Opens deferrals to address these items and provides feedback on findings to the reporting group
