We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Complex Billing Analyst to join our fast‑paced organization. As a key leader within the billing operations team, the analyst will ensure accuracy and efficiency of complex billing processes for large commercial and industrial accounts, driving billing accuracy, compliance, and process optimization. The role requires deep knowledge of the retail energy market, deregulated environments, ERCOT regulations and advanced billing systems.
The analyst will manage all billing aspects, identify improvement opportunities, resolve issues with cross‑functional teams, and lead initiatives that enhance overall billing effectiveness.
- Develop, implement and manage effective billing strategies, policies and procedures for residential, commercial and industrial accounts.
- Monitor and analyze revenue performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Utilize data analytics to drive decision‑making and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Oversee end‑to‑end billing process to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure client contracts are properly accounted for in CE systems during setup and invoicing.
- Develop strategies to improve cash flow and reduce Days Sales Outstanding.
- Review, investigate and recommend action on product structure and market insights.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and report on revenue performance to management.
- Lead dispute resolution process, mitigate customer disputes, negotiate and document root cause.
- Adhere to compliance protocols of Public Utility Commissions and government entities.
- Establish controls to bridge gaps with other stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and resolve existing and potential account issues with acute attention to detail.
- Adhere to Retail Market Guide protocols of ERCOT, PJM, NYISO and NEPOOL.
- Lead when changes and proposed regulations occur to understand gaps and formulate solutions.
- Build positive business relationships with internal customers and key stakeholders.
- Achieve excellence by delivering on key performance indicators.
- Analytical – proven problem‑solving capability with strong analytical skills including statistical analysis.

- Bachelor’s degree in business or related area from an accredited four‑year university, or minimum two years supervisory experience in complex billing operations as a substitute.
- Minimum of five years of back‑office operations experience (customer setup, complex billing, contract management, customer relations).
- Experience in the deregulated energy market, primarily ERCOT, PJM, NYISO and NEPOOL.
- Familiarity with complex billing structure.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities to identify trends, analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Proven experience managing revenue generation for commercial, industrial and retail energy markets.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Eligible to work in the USA without sponsorship.
$80,000 - $110,000 salary
