Onsite Chemist is a full‑time position based at a single customer facility. The role serves as the customer’s dedicated point of contact for hazardous waste management and compliance, inspecting storage containers, maintaining hazardous waste storage areas, and managing logistics of hazardous waste truck shipments.
Location & Schedule- Based full time on‑site at the customer’s facility
- Schedule:
7 am‑3 pm daily with overtime based on customer operations and shipment volume
- Prioritize health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
- Segregate and characterize chemicals by hazard class and pack compatible materials into appropriate containers for transport; complete required documentation per job and conduct facility inspections as needed
- Collect hazardous and nonhazardous materials from various onsite locations and transport them via pushcart or company van to waste collection areas
- Follow proper placarding and load segregation requirements when loading hazardous materials
- Effectively communicate essential information to the customer and maintain a productive, positive relationship with key customer contacts
- Maintain a logbook of waste stored within the waste storage area at customer site
- Maintain good housekeeping in storage areas and advise relevant parties when additional supplies are needed
- Provide direction to field technicians/drivers while on‑site assisting with waste collection
- Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in a science‑related discipline (preferred)
- 1+ years of experience in lab packing or an environmental waste role (preferred)
