TC Energy is a leader in North American energy infrastructure, connecting the world to the energy it needs. Our Energy Marketing group is expanding and we are looking for a Natural Gas Scheduler based in Houston, TX.
What You’ll Do- Execute and manage nominations, confirmations, imbalances, and other related activities for the purchase and sale of natural gas on various pipelines.
- Set up contracts on new pipelines and coordinate with internal groups.
- Apply a thorough understanding of transportation contracts and nominate the movement of natural gas appropriately.
- Track the movement of all physical gas transactions and maintain an internal overview showing contractual movements, storage changes, and imbalances.
- Track and interpret maintenance and other operational issues to aid in the efficiency of transporting natural gas and monetization of insights.
- Communicate with pipeline representatives and advise the trading team on potential impacts and alternative solutions.
- Work to enhance the NPV and profitability of the book.
- Assist the trading team regarding the optimal use of transportation and storage assets.
- Communicate with customers and the trading team regarding physical positions and the movement of natural gas.
- Ensure positions in accounting and internal system balance and reconcile to actual activity.
- Post‑secondary education in a technical or business discipline.
- 5+ years of related experience.
- 2 years of natural gas scheduling experience across L48 South Pipes.
- Proven computer skills with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and ETRM systems (including ENDUR).
- Proven experience providing advice to commercial, accounting and operations teams.
- Scheduling experience on pipelines adjoining those of TC Energy.
- Proven ability to simultaneously coordinate multiple tasks in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment.
