Prime Air Maintenance Technician, Prime Air

Overview

Prime Air is seeking a Repair Technician who combines technical skills with a passion for maintaining machinery and aircraft. The role focuses on drone maintenance and routine service, ensuring aircraft conform to design standards and are in safe operating condition. The technician works closely with engineering, flight operations, and other teams.

• Drive time-based and condition-based maintenance activities
• Show understanding of fleet performance metrics
• Verify adherence to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives
• Manage fleet spare parts and inventory
• Demonstrate proactive safety mindset in ambiguous situations
• Follow detailed instructions outlined in technical manuals

Additional physical and scheduling requirements include carrying or lifting up to 50 lbs, standing and walking during shifts up to 12 hours, frequently pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching; working any shift including nights, weekends, and holidays; up to 25% travel; and potential export control license and DOT drug testing as required.

• Experience in mechanical and electrical integration or assembly
• Ability to carry or lift up to 50 pounds and work during long shifts over 12 hours
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Flexible work schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
• Comfortable working in variable noise, temperature, and weather conditions, including outdoors and refrigerated environments
• Demonstrated record of good attendance and punctuality

• Experience installing sub‑assemblies and assemblies guided by drawings or CAD files
• Experience in the aviation industry
• Experience with business communication skills
• Experience in robotics and manufacturing engineering
