What You’ll Actually Do

As a Land Intern, you will gain valuable hands‑on experience working within an asset team in one of Chevron’s dynamic business segments. You will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful, real‑world projects with direct business impact.

  • Support negotiations with external partners and landowners and assist in drafting agreements related to oil and gas exploration and production activities.
  • Perform title research and analysis for exploration, development, workover, and plug and abandonment wells.
  • Provide Land support to multidisciplinary teams to help stakeholders make informed, strategic business decisions on agreements and land ownership matters.
  • Interact with federal and state agencies on oil and gas regulatory issues.
  • Work closely with a dedicated mentor and buddy who will provide guidance, support, and professional development throughout the summer.
  • Present your project and key learnings to senior leadership at the conclusion of the internship.

New graduates who join Chevron full‑time enter the Horizons Program, a structured early‑career experience that includes formal training, on‑the‑job learning, mentorship, multiple job assignments, and possible location rotations. You can build a career as a technical expert, people leader, or both.

What You Must Have
