Opportunity

ON.energy is building the power infrastructure that makes the AI era possible. As AI demand surges past what the grid and traditional data centers can support, ON.energy provides a new class of power technology proven at gigawatt scale and trusted by the world’s leading cloud and AI companies. Our systems are already deployed across 2.5 GW of hyper‑scale campuses, validated by top U.S. national labs, and certified for grid‑safe operation by major utilities.

With real products in the field, we’re scaling faster than the grid can, transforming power from a bottleneck into a competitive advantage for the companies building the future.

What You’ll Do Lead Grid & Policy Engagement
  • Represent ON.energy in ISO/RTO stakeholder processes, technical committees, tariff proceedings, and regulatory working groups.
  • Educate regulators, utilities, and market operators on how ON.energy’s medium‑voltage UPS technology supports grid stability and reliability.
  • Advocate for policies and market frameworks that enable responsible large‑load interconnection and flexible load participation.
  • Develop comment letters, policy briefs, presentations, and technical materials that translate complex engineering concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
Shape the Technical Narrative
  • Lead ON.energy’s engagement in rule makings and technical discussions related to large‑load interconnection, inverter‑based resources, voltage and frequency ride‑through, system strength, and grid‑forming technologies.
  • Monitor and proactively respond to emerging NERC, FERC, ISO/RTO, and state regulatory developments that impact grid‑connected large loads.
  • Partner closely with the CTO and engineering teams to ensure ON.energy’s capabilities are accurately reflected in planning studies, technical standards, and regulatory proceedings.
  • Help position ON.energy as a thought leader in grid reliability, power quality, and next‑generation load integration.
Drive Strategy & Execution
  • Own ON.energy’s ISO/RTO engagement strategy across priority markets including ERCOT, PJM, MISO, and SPP.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, commercial, and operations teams to embed regulatory and grid requirements early in project development and customer engagements.
  • Identify policy and regulatory risks proactively and develop strategies to mitigate deployment barriers.
  • Support go‑to‑market strategy through deep understanding of evolving grid requirements and market structures.
Build Industry Relationships
  • Develop trusted relationships with ISO leadership, utility engineering teams, regulators, policymakers, and industry associations.
  • Represent ON.energy at technical conferences, industry forums, and stakeholder workshops.
  • Strengthen ON.energy’s reputation as a credible, technically grounded, policy‑forward voice in the energy industry.
What We’re Looking For
  • 7+ years of experience in the energy industry, including 3–5 years focused on energy policy, regulatory affairs, or stakeholder advocacy.
  • Strong background in power systems engineering, transmission planning, grid operations, or related technical disciplines.
  • Direct experience participating in ISO/RTO stakeholder processes, tariff development, or regulatory proceedings.
  • Deep understanding of grid reliability, interconnection processes, inverter‑based resources, or large‑load integration challenges.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, persuasive messaging for non‑technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently, navigate ambiguity, and drive complex initiatives across technical and policy domains.
  • Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Policy, or a related field preferred.
