Security Clearance:
- Monitor day-to-day electrical construction activities on a utility-scale solar project
- Provide technical oversight of EPC contractors throughout construction
- Verify compliance with project specifications, drawings, and contract requirements
- Oversee low- and medium-voltage electrical installations
- Inspect electrical connections to solar panels, trackers, combiner boxes, and inverter systems
- Ensure electrical systems are installed correctly prior to commissioning
- Identify construction issues and recommend technical solutions
- Maintain detailed inspection documentation and reports
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on the jobsite
- Partner with Construction Managers and project leadership to support successful project execution
- 7+ years of electrical construction or electrical inspection experience
- Utility-scale solar construction experience
- Experience with low- and medium-voltage electrical systems
- Experience providing oversight of EPC contractors
- Strong understanding of electrical construction practices and quality standards
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred but not required)
- Experience with NEXTracker systems
- Utility-scale battery energy storage (BESS) experience
- Previous Owner's Representative experience
- OSHA 30 certification
- Experience supporting renewable energy projects
Candidates with experience supporting major EPC contractors or utility owners are highly desired. Examples include:
Mortenson, Blattner, Burns & McDonnell, Black & Veatch, Kiewit, Sargent & Lundy, National Grid, Next Era Energy, Duke Energy.
