We Are Recruiting:
Director - Renewable Energy Project Development | Houston, TX
We are seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Project Development Director to help build and advance a U.S. utility-scale renewable energy portfolio, with an initial focus on Texas/ERCOT. This is a senior-level opportunity for a hands‑on development professional with experience taking Solar, BESS, and/or hybrid projects from origination through key development milestones toward Ready-to-Build, Financial Close, and NTP.
Key Responsibilities- Originate and evaluate utility-scale Solar, BESS & hybrid opportunities
- Build and manage a pipeline of greenfield and acquisition projects
- Lead site control, land acquisition, leases, easements & options
- Manage interconnection strategy, applications & studies with utilities and ISOs/RTOs
- Lead federal, state and local permitting and stakeholder coordination
- Evaluate project economics, development budgets and investment returns
- Support PPA, tolling, hedging & offtake strategies
- Lead development due diligence for project acquisitions and JVs
- Coordinate Engineering, EPC, Finance, Legal and external consultants
- Advance projects toward RTB / Financial Close / NTP
- 10+ years of U.S. renewable energy development experience
- Utility‑scale Solar, BESS or Solar + BESS experience
- Demonstrated experience advancing projects through multiple development stages
- Experience with ERCOT, MISO, SPP, PJM and/or CAISO
- Texas/ERCOT development experience strongly preferred
- Experience with acquisitions, JVs and/or development partnerships is a plus
