Energy Transfer is seeking an Entry‑Level GIS Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for recent graduates with a bachelor’s degree and foundational GIS experience. The successful candidate will support our GIS operations by performing data entry, data conversion, and geospatial editing tasks to maintain accurate and up‑to‑date geospatial data.

• Update and maintain Energy Transfer’s geodatabase with contract acreage dedications.
• Perform digitizing tasks, including creating and editing polygon features and adjusting vertices.
• Convert spatial data between formats and ensure data integrity.
• Conduct quality checks to verify accuracy and completeness of GIS data.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain data standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Experience:
  
  No prior professional experience required; coursework or academic projects involving GIS are required.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  • Basic proficiency with GIS software (e.g., Esri ArcGIS).
  • Understanding of geodatabases, spatial data formats, and digitizing workflows.
• Other Requirements:
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an office environment.

• Usually, normal office working conditions.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings which may include hazardous materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
