Clayton Services is searching for a Civil/Structural Engineer (EIT) – Ports & Waterfront Structures to join a thriving company in Houston, Texas. The Civil/Structural Engineer (EIT) – Ports & Waterfront Structures will be responsible for supporting the design, inspection, and rehabilitation of marine and waterfront infrastructure, including piers, wharves, bulkheads, marinas, and vessel mooring and berthing systems, under the guidance of senior engineers.
Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $70,000 – $90,000/year

Civil/Structural Engineer (EIT) – Ports & Waterfront Structures Responsibilities:
- Assist with the structural analysis, design, and detailing of concrete, steel, and timber waterfront structures
- Support the development of engineering calculations, design concepts, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates under senior engineer supervision
- Participate in inspections, condition assessments, and rehabilitation efforts for port and marine structures
- Perform field investigations and assist with inspections throughout the U.S. and Caribbean
- Prepare technical documentation and inspection reports based on field observations and findings
- Conduct design reviews and quality checks in accordance with internal quality standards and best practices
- Support the resolution of design challenges through analysis, coordination, and detailed review of engineering work
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful project execution
- Other duties as assigned

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and related engineering tools
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as the project needs require
Civil/Structural Engineer (EIT) – Ports & Waterfront Structures Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required
- Internship, co-op, or early-career experience in a collaborative engineering environment preferred
- U.S. Citizenship required to meet federal inspection guidelines
