Process Engineer II – ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions Americas
We are growing and looking for a Process Engineer II in Houston, Texas. This on‑site position supports daily operations and continuous improvement across our facility.
Responsibilities & Projects- Identify and execute cost‑reduction opportunities across materials, scrap, labor, and tooling.
- Support new product and process introductions, ensuring smooth transitions into production.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Create and maintain process documentation and SOPs.
- Monitor equipment performance and partner with Maintenance on repairs or upgrades.
- Champion lean principles and 5S standards across assigned areas.
- Manage mid‑level capital and process improvement projects.
- Handle special assignments as assigned.
- Maintain a safe and harmonious working environment, holding self and others accountable to OSHA and ASSA ABLOY standards.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate policies, regulations, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with continuous improvement and cost‑reduction projects.
- Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing operations and workflow design.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (Solid Works preferred) and statistical analysis software (Mini Tab preferred).
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
