Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX. This role involves supporting the execution of Mycelx (OEM) water treatment packages for offshore and onshore oil & gas facilities. The focus will be on washable media filtration and oil–water separation technologies, encompassing engineering, fabrication support, testing, and field commissioning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and a passion for innovative water treatment solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Director of Engineering in the execution and delivery of MYCELX Water Treatment Solutions.
- Lead technical execution of washable media filter and separator packages from order intake through commissioning.
- Develop and review PFDs, P&IDs, equipment sizing, and process calculations.
- Engineer skid-mounted and modular water treatment systems for offshore and onshore applications.
- Design and review pressure vessels, filtration systems, and piping per ASME, API, and offshore standards.
- Coordinate instrumentation and control systems, including automated backwash and monitoring.
- Interface with vendors, fabrication teams, inspectors, and customers.
- Support FATs, SATs, commissioning, and performance testing.
- BS/BA Degree in Engineering or related field with 4-6 years of experience.
- Experience with PLC/DCS-based control systems and automated process packages.
- Strong knowledge of pressure equipment, skid packages, and modular systems.
- OEM experience with washable media filters, oil–water separators, or produced water treatment systems.
- 5 - 10 years of experience in oil & gas or industrial water treatment.
- TWIC card, H2S and Safe Land / Safe Gulf Certification, HUET Offshore Certification.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD or Solidworks, and project management software.
- Experience with produced water discharge or reinjection compliance.
- Background in OEM packaged equipment or modular fabrication.
- Offshore commissioning experience.
- Knowledge of ASME Section VIII, ASME B31, API standards (DNV/ABS a plus).
- Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
