Principal Engineer

A global, multidisciplinary engineering firm known for complex, high-performance projects is searching for a Principal, mechanical seller/doer to lead multidisciplinary teams in the design and execution of healthcare projects, ensuring alignment with client goals, regulatory standards, and contractual obligations.

• Build and sustain long-term client relationships within the healthcare sector, supporting repeat engagements and identifying new project opportunities.
• Oversee project delivery including scope, schedule, budget, and resourcing to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Manage financial performance, risk mitigation, and adherence to applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary engineering teams through ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance review.
• Communicate complex technical ideas clearly and effectively to both technical stakeholders and non-technical audiences.
• Champion sustainable and evidence-based design strategies that enhance occupant health and building performance.
• Act as technical lead or engineer of record on select projects, maintaining accountability for design quality and execution.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering required.

• A minimum of 10 years of professional engineering experience, including delivery of complex healthcare facilities from early design through construction and closeout.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary project teams on medium to large-scale projects, with responsibility for coordination and delivery.
• Strong background in mechanical system design, paired with a collaborative, client-oriented leadership style.
• Excellent communication, planning, and organizational abilities across technical and stakeholder-facing contexts.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Texas.
