How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Responsibilities
  • As a Construction Manager, responsible for managing the construction and pre-commissioning of the assigned site. Represent Global E&C Solutions in front of the Customer, PMC and Partner organizations.
  • Manage safety, quality, schedule, and cost, including implementation of HSE rules and permitting, promotion of safety, compliance with IMS; implementation of QAQC standards and resolution of site NCR; successful completion of construction within defined budgets and schedule.
  • Ensure the quality of construction/installation works according to contract requirements, codes and Air Liquide standards; support the qualification of manufacturing workshops.
  • Manage interfaces between disciplines on site and between partners and subcontractors; handle claims, disputes, changes and clarifications in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate an inter-discipline mindset (HSE, QAQC, Civil, Piping, Flat Bottom Tank, Electrical and Instrumentation) and a professional, honest profile.
  • Report monthly on safety and quality performance, construction status and forecast, and budget consumption including quantities, man-hours, cost and milestones achieved.
  • Execute a smooth handover to the commissioning manager; support commissioning as needed.
  • Develop competitiveness by supporting proposals, projects or site optimization.
  • Demonstrate strong management and leadership capability; develop and train new talents; assess capabilities and performance of the site team.
  • Plan with the Project Manager mobilization of construction and commissioning staff, ensure sufficient personnel with appropriate qualifications; coordinate specialists or vendor representatives at the right time on site; capitalize on construction activity. Support Site Activity coordination in North America.
  • Promote site services in North America: reparation/revamping, RFI site coordination, construction, and commissioning activities for other E&C centers and entities (LI, CI, Airgas, ALaT, etc.).
  • Mobilize resources (including from overseas) for service execution; support secondment (visa, arrival, etc.).
  • Support estimating and invoicing; coordinate monthly site reporting (monthly light report).
Requirements
  • Bachelor s Degree in Science (Civil or Mechanical preferred) or equivalent experience required.
  • 10+ years experience in E&C site construction activities (mastering Civil, Structure, Piping, Instrumentation, Electrical, Flat Bottom Tank, Pre-commissioning works).
  • 5+ years experience in site safety and quality.
  • Extensive knowledge in subcontracting management, budget, scheduling and progress.
  • Basic knowledge of Engineering in all disciplines and process.
  • 100% travel (assigned on construction sites).
  • Preferred: ISO
    9001 certification;
    Commissioning experience.
