Transport Engineer

• In-depth knowledge and advanced proficiency in CWDM/DWDM Optical Transport systems including Ciena, Alcatel. Familiarity with Dark Fiber vendors, their organizational processes, standards, and network portfolio maps is preferred. Knowledge of Pathloss 5 microwave design software.
• Proficient in office applications:
  Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project.
• Executive-level troubleshooting, problem solving, project management, and interpersonal skills.
• Decision-making skills, including using available data, anticipating future needs, and understanding organizational impact.
• Superior organizational and planning skills, including setting priorities, workload management, delegation, and follow-up.
• Ability to quickly learn new technology and apply wireless engineering knowledge.
• Self-motivated, proactive, able to work independently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• High productivity and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with engineering and economic principles is preferred.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience with six or more years in relevant roles.
• Experience analyzing and reporting on traffic for transport backhaul.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently.
• Experience in the cellular or telecommunications industry.
• Knowledge of interconnect circuits such as SONET/Dark Fiber.
• Understanding of wireless 4G and 5G services related to architecture.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in cellular/telecommunications, preferably in a transport engineering role.
