Senior Electrical Engineer – Space Solutions (Hybrid | Houston, TX)
We’re recruiting for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a leading innovator in defense, national security, and space technology. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Cleveland, OH.

What You’ll Do
- Lead the design and development of space-qualified electronics including power supplies, power distribution, sensors, command/data handling systems, and flight computers.
- Oversee PCB design: schematic layout, routing, symbol/footprint creation, and fabrication file prep.
- Write technical documentation such as assembly instructions, test procedures, and analysis reports.
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting using industry-standard equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, load banks, etc.).
- Perform and oversee qualification and acceptance testing for safety-critical flight hardware.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, Flight Ops, Systems, Safety) to ensure compliance and reliability.
- Support proposals, provide technical input, and contribute to cost/schedule estimates.
- Travel up to 30% (domestic & international) to customer facilities, NASA/government centers, and launch sites.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
- 4–7 years of experience in electrical design and development.
- Experience designing, testing, and integrating electrical systems for space applications.
- Strong background with custom isolated DC-DC converters and schematic design.
- Familiarity with Phase Shifted Full Bridge, Resonant, or Dual Active Bridge topologies (a plus).
- Proficiency in LTSpice, PSIM, or equivalent modeling tools.
- Knowledge of radiation-hardened, space-grade parts (NASA EEE-INST-002).
Preferred:
- Experience in the space hardware industry.
- Master’s degree or equivalent.
