We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer specializing in Municipal Utility District (MUD) projects . This role focuses on designing, managing, and overseeing infrastructure development for MUDs, including water, wastewater, drainage, and roadway systems. The ideal candidate will coordinate with developers, municipalities, and regulatory agencies, ensuring projects comply with TCEQ and local standards. Responsibilities include plan review, project permitting, and construction oversight, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective, and sustainable infrastructure solutions for MUD communities.

Key Responsibilities
Design and Project Management:
Lead the design and execution of water, wastewater, drainage, and roadway infrastructure for Municipal Utility District (MUD) developments.
Regulatory Compliance & Permitting:
Ensure projects comply with TCEQ, local municipalities, and district regulations, managing permitting processes for water and wastewater systems.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination:
Serve as the primary liaison between MUD boards, developers, consultants, and regulatory agencies, providing technical guidance and project updates.
Construction Oversight:
Monitor construction progress, budget adherence, and quality assurance, conducting site visits and resolving field-related challenges.
Contract & Plan Review:
Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, bid documents, and contract materials, ensuring alignment with district standards.
Capital Improvement Planning:
Assist in the development of long-term infrastructure plans for MUDs, evaluating system capacity and future expansion needs.
Budget & Cost Estimation:
Provide accurate cost projections, feasibility studies, and funding recommendations for MUD infrastructure projects.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas.
1-3 years of experience in Municipal Utility District (MUD) projects and/or Single-Family Residential Land Development.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Micro Station .
Strong leadership, communication, and technical skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively.
