A leading construction organization, supporting commercial and light industrial clients across multiple sectors, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex MEP construction projects. These projects often involve HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems in commercial facilities, industrial plants, and mission-critical environments.
This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives in technically complex projects, enjoys working in fast-paced settings, and wants ownership of project delivery and team development.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all phases of MEP construction projects, from kickoff to closeout
- Build and maintain project schedules, milestones, and resource plans
- Work directly with field teams to drive execution in a self-perform environment
- Identify project risks early and implement corrective actions
- Enforce safety standards and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and profitability targets
- Track labor, material, and equipment costs; implement proactive cost controls
- Manage contracts, commercial terms, and vendor/subcontractor agreements
- Prepare project performance reports for leadership and clients
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients
- Communicate schedule, deliverables, and changes clearly and proactively
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors to maintain alignment
- Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional project teams, including project controls, estimating, purchasing, safety, quality, and engineering
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Support career development for junior and mid-level team members
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of project management experience in commercial, light industrial, or MEP construction
- Proven track record delivering complex mechanical, electrical, or plumbing projects
- Proficient in project management software (Primavera, Procore, MS Project, or similar)
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams
