Position Overview
The Hiring Manager brings over 10 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, with a background spanning wind generation, solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and gas-fired generation. Their experience includes roles in operations management and capital project management, supported by a strong business and operational foundation.
This role will support major renewable energy projects, with a primary focus on wind generation, while also contributing to solar and battery storage initiatives across North America.

- Primary focus:
Wind projects - Current work includes solar battery storage projects, structured within a major projects framework
- United States
- Texas: 3 solar projects, 3 wind projects
- Wyoming:
Wind projects - Upcoming:
Illinois and Colorado (solar + battery storage) - Canada
- Ontario:
Upcoming bid decision expected in April - Wind projects primarily managed out of Calgary
- Gas-fired generation also supported out of Calgary
- Additional renewable hubs located in Houston and Dallas
- Wind team consists of approximately 6–7 professionals
- Report through the Major Projects organization
- Serve as a dedicated resource supporting the Power and Support Power teams
- Develop, manage, and deliver project budgets
- Operate at a managerial level with no direct reports
- Lead and support multiple concurrent renewable energy projects
- Collaborate closely with utilities, construction teams, engineers, and internal stakeholders
- Play a key role in early-stage interconnection discussions and planning
- Take increased ownership and leadership as projects transition into execution and delivery phases
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in renewable energy or power infrastructure
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license – required
- Demonstrated North American project experience, including exposure to multiple ISOs
- Strong technical expertise in renewable energy systems (wind, solar, battery storage)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proven ability to collaborate across disciplines and organizations
- Positive, team-oriented mindset with a strong collaborative and value-driven approach
- Video pre-screen to assess technical background and overall fit
- Panel interview with cross-functional stakeholders
- Final in-person interview for top 1–2 candidates
