Overview
HDR Engineering is seeking a Substation Structural EIT/Coordinator to join our growing, nationally-ranked Power Delivery team. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a team that executes technical design on substation engineering projects ranging from device replacements to large greenfield designs. Responsibilities- Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, analyses, reports, and designs for electrical substations (Low, Medium and High Voltage) under the direction of senior engineers and designers.
- Prepare structural calculations, design sketches and redline drawings.
- Work with Designers and CAD Technicians to develop drawings in accordance with national design standards, safety codes and project specifications and requirements.
- Work under the direction of Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- EIT/FE certification strongly preferred. If not yet certified, candidate will have the title of "Coordinator" and must obtain EIT/FE certification for career progression.
- Preference given to local area candidates
- Familiarity or willingness to learn structural design software such as RISA, MFAD, L-Pile, or equivalent
