Key Responsibilities- Support electrical design transfer from R&D to manufacturing, ensuring design intent, documentation completeness, and manufacturability.
- Review schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, and electrical specifications to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
- Lead or support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including prototype builds, pilot runs, and ramp to volume production.
- Collaborate with design teams to implement DFM, DFA, DFT, and cost-reduction improvements.
- Develop, review, and maintain electrical test strategies, including ICT, functional test, boundary scan, and system-level testing.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues during manufacturing, test, and field returns using structured root-cause analysis.
- Support yield improvement initiatives and corrective actions for electrical failures.
- Work closely with contract manufacturers (CMs) and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
- Participate in design reviews, FMEA, reliability testing, and qualification activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations (UL, CE, FCC, RoHS, REACH, etc.).
- Support failure analysis, corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement efforts.
- Create and maintain electrical documentation including schematics, test specifications, ECOs, and manufacturing work instructions.
- Manage product changes throughout the product lifecycle, from NPI through sustaining engineering.
- Support product cost, performance, and reliability optimization over time.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in product engineering, electrical engineering, or manufacturing engineering within the electronics industry.
- Strong understanding of electronic circuits, digital and analog design fundamentals.
- Experience with PCB design review, component selection, and BOM management.
- Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, power supplies).
- Familiarity with NPI processes and electronics manufacturing environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues and drive root-cause analysis.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Experience in high-tech electronics such as IoT, networking, servers, industrial electronics, or embedded systems.
- Knowledge of high-speed digital interfaces, power electronics, or RF systems.
- Experience working with contract manufacturers and global supply chains.
- Familiarity with PLM systems and ECO processes.
- Experience with regulatory compliance and product certification.
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on, detail-oriented engineering mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
