OverviewWe're working with a major petrochemical business to identify a Process Project Engineer for their PSM-regulated production site in Houston.
The Process Project Engineer acts as a technical support for the operations & maintenance group. You will focus on identifying/tracking improvements to the production process including reaction performance, stripper solvent recovery, utilities, finishing and packaging, and process design.
As well as identifying process improvements, the Process Project Engineer will develop project scopes generated by operations, maintenance, commercial and engineering groups from conception through to execution and commissioning. The Process Project Engineer will assist with HAZOP reviews, plant PHAs and other PSM activities as needed.
The projects will be a mix of CAPEX, OPEX, and general improvements to the site. You will manage projects for different disciplines, with the aid of technical experts from those disciplines, such as maintenance, operations, and HSE. The majority of projects are $100k to $2MM in value.
Alongside this project work, there will be general assistance you may give to the Process Engineering Group including troubleshooting support, data analysis, and process modeling.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Ideally ChemE, but open to others.
- 5+ years experience in chemical/refining facilities.
- Proven experience in projects - ideally full lifecycle. Open to experience levels, but please ensure any work is clear on your application.
