Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to lead and coordinate projects, design custom equipment, and ensure safe operations in support of engineering investigations and testing.

Responsibilities

* Lead and coordinate projects as a Project Lead/Process Engineer, including analysis and design changes.

* Design and fabricate custom insertion devices as a Mechanical Designer/Fabricator.

* Operate safely as a Field Technician/Operator, managing borescope operations and video recordings.

* Oversee safety and operations, including permits, LOTO, hot-work if needed, nitrogen supply, and PPE.

* Conduct maintenance tasks such as flange blinding and post-observation cleanup.

Essential Skills

* 5+ years of Mechanical Design Engineering experience with equipment for Weir Investigations & Sludge Testing.

* Ability to operate independently as a Project Lead/Process Engineer with experience in overall coordination, analysis, and design changes.

* 5+ years of experience designing borescope insertion/support devices with 6' 150# flange.

* Experience in performing visual observations onsite.

* Experience in delivering final report recommendations for fleet-wide rollouts.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

* Proficiency in mechanical design and AutoCAD.

* Experience in new product development.

* Knowledge of Weir Design.

* Understanding of field support and engineering principles.

Work Environment

The role is primarily office-based, requiring 40 hours per week, with some travel to other office locations. Employees enjoy holiday and paid time off, as well as opportunities for growth.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $60.00/hr.
