Senior Field Engineer

Start Date: As soon as possible

Yearly Salary: $96,250 - $103,125 (fixed range, annual gross)

Stock Options: $22,000 - $44,000 in company shares

Work Model: Full-time, Hybrid in Houston, Texas

Your Role

As a Senior Field Engineer
, you will play a critical role in bringing our MRI scanning solutions to life at customer sites across the U.S. This position goes far beyond installation — it’s about owning the entire on-site experience and ensuring operational excellence from day one.

Working closely with Product, Procurement, and Customer Support, you will ensure seamless execution, timely delivery, and adaptation to local site conditions. Your insights from the field will directly influence product improvements and operational efficiency.

Success in this role requires strong customer presence and building trust quickly with contractors, and partners, communicate clearly, and confidently coordinate on-site stakeholders.

This is a foundational role within our U.S. launch team — an opportunity to shape processes, standards, and customer experience from the ground up while being deeply hands-on in the field.

Your Day-to-Day

Lead system validation, installation, calibration, maintenance, and repairs with full autonomy, acting as the responsible technical authority on-site.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead complex installations independently with strong hands-on field expertise.
  • Evaluate local conditions for site requirements needed for customer installations & ensure site readiness.
  • Inspect and validate components that are delivered to our premises and customer sites for installation.
  • Instruct customer contractors regarding the installation or troubleshooting of our equipment or the preparation of our customer sites.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues and malfunctions, providing on-site solutions.
  • Install, test, and commission equipment, systems, or machinery at customer sites.
  • Mentor, train, and collaborate with the team for knowledge-sharing on all aspects of our systems.
  • Test system performance and teach the customer about safety, service, and operation.
  • Collaborate with product management & systems engineering on customer feedback and product improvement.
  • Coordinate with suppliers on on-site servicing, repair, or redesign of electrical components.
  • Take full accountability for performance, safety, and delivery.

Your Experience and Skills
  • You have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics or similar; the alternative is higher professional technical education.
  • Knowledge of the architecture of industrial automation systems and their components.
  • You have 7+ years of experience in installing, commissioning and servicing industrial-grade systems, ideally including automation or imaging systems.
  • Experience with reading electrical wiring schematics and site layout blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, specifically power distribution systems for industrial machinery, statics, construction, and water-cooling technologies.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence when interacting with customers, their contractors and suppliers, ensuring clear and effective collaboration.
