Application Engineer Industrial Technology Greater Dublin (Hybrid)
IT Search has partnered with a growing Irish engineering company that designs and manufactures advanced digital inspection and measurement systems used across global manufacturing environments. As demand continues to increase, they’re looking to hire an Application Engineer to support customer projects and technical deployments.
This is a customer-facing engineering role sitting between product development, sales, and end users. You’ll work on feasibility studies, proof‑of‑concept solutions, and technical demonstrations, helping customers evaluate and implement inspection systems for their specific applications. The position involves hands‑on system setup, customer training, technical support, and close collaboration with internal engineering, quality, and commercial teams.
They’re looking for someone with:
- An engineering background, ideally in electronics or mechanical engineering
- Experience in a customer‑facing engineering, applications, or technical support role
- Exposure to industrial, manufacturing, inspection, or hardware‑related environments
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to run product demonstrations, training sessions, or proof‑of‑concept work
- Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to customers
- Experience working in a commercial environment with deadlines and customer expectations
- Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites and events
