Senior Applications Engineer

The Senior Applications Engineer will provide technical assistance and support to customers using IDE’s water treatment products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Development and Optimization
• Analyze, design, and optimize water treatment processes to meet rigorous industry requirements.
• Implement improvements in product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Work closely with industry leaders, and others to ensure high-quality water treatment solutions.
• Participate in industry events.
• Technical Support and Problem-Solving
• Resolve technical issues and provide feedback for product improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize applications.
• Stay updated on environmental regulations and compliance standards related to the water treatment industry.
• Ensure that the company’s water treatment processes meet or exceed all regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, or a related technical degree.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with industry partners and internal teams.
• 5-8 years’ working experience in a similar role within the industry of which at least 5 years should be in water treatment field.
• Have a clear understanding of the project or bid requirements as they relate to scope, cost and schedule.
• Possess strong communication and soft skills and be able to function independently with minimal supervision or as a member of a multidiscipline team.
• Experience as a process design engineer of small/medium water treatment plants with proficiency in P&IDs /PFD preparation, process calculation, RO projections, membrane selection, calculations related to water such as pH, hardness, alkalinity etc. and chemical dosages
• Preparationofpreliminary Processdesignforwatertreatmentapplications,especially membrane systems
• The above design comprising the selection of process and process calculations, membrane selection, filters selection etc. Hydraulic calculations, chemical dosing calculations, pressure drop calculations, line sizing etc.
• Stay up-to-datewiththelatestadvancementsinwatertreatmenttechnologiesand share knowledge within the organization.
• Participation in technical meetings, decision making, and coordination with the clients and overseas offices.
• Provides technical support and solutions to customers
• Works closely with customers to understand their requirements and customize solutions
