What role you will play in our team
  • Unconventional reservoir engineers are exposed to many facets of our unconventional business, including acreage trades & acquisitions, production surveillance, and development optimization
  • Work with multi‑discipline teams to support optimal asset development and operation
  • Leverage fundamental reservoir engineering skills in reservoir description, surveillance, performance prediction, economic evaluation, development planning, opportunity generation and production optimization
  • Typically engineers are responsible for all operated / non‑operated / industry work within an assigned work area
  • The position is located at Exxon Mobil campus in Spring, Texas
What you will do
  • Plan, evaluate, and execute field development / drill well programs
  • Identify key production drivers and uncertainties
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional team to recommend optimal development plan given corporate priorities
  • Provide recommendations to address financial and operations risks and improve decision quality
  • Improve reservoir description through fluid analysis, core evaluation, well testing interpretation, and production performance analysis
  • Conduct production forecasts and reserves assessments to support development / depletion planning and production optimization opportunities
  • Developing and or leveraging new reservoir engineering technologies to support business solutions

Skills and Qualifications
  • Degrees & certifications required for the job should be listed here, listing ‘B.S. or equivalent work experience’ in this section is acceptable if an actual degree is not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required - preferably Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical
  • A minimum of 3 years and maximum of 15 years of industry work experience in Unconventional Reservoir Engineering
