Senior Manager of Geotechnical Engineering; Civil Eng. Degree

Tolunay-Wong Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager of Geotechnical Engineering for our growing Mega Projects Group in Houston. The successful candidate will have been a branch manager, a geotechnical lead, or have directly supervised 5+ junior staff members in previous roles. We will provide training and support necessary for career advancement with the objective of developing the candidate into further career advancement.

You will provide technical experience and mentorship to junior staff while leading multiple mega projects to include dams, tunnels, LNG facilities, giga factories, to name a few. We are seeking a candidate with excellent communication skills, a strong desire for career advancement, and sound leadership qualities.

• Ability to prepare technical proposals with little supervision.
• Execute highly technical geotechnical engineering project assignments.
• Lead a team of junior geotechnical engineers.
• Manage and coordinate geotechnical field and laboratory assignments.
• Perform engineering analyses and report preparation.
• Maintain client expectations for project quality and schedule.

• At least 7+ years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience; priority given to 5+ years as a supervisor
• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering Required
• Active PE License Required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
