We are seeking a Risk Consultant with experience supporting large capital projects in the energy sector. This role provides project teams with practical risk analysis, cost and schedule risk assessments, and risk management support across engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
Responsibilities- Support project teams with cost and schedule risk analysis for energy EPC projects
- Develop and maintain risk registers
, including identification, scoring, and updates - Facilitate risk workshops with engineering, project management, construction, and supply chain
- Perform quantitative risk analysis (QRA) using standard tools (cost & schedule)
- Review project estimates, schedules, and execution plans to identify risk drivers
- Track contingency usage
, escalation exposure, and allowance changes - Provide clear summaries of risks, impacts, and recommended mitigation actions
- Prepare risk reports for monthly project reviews and management presentations
- Support change management by validating risk impacts tied to scope changes
- Assist with development of trend logs
, early warnings, and risk‑based forecasts - Coordinate with estimating, planning, cost control, and construction teams to keep risk data current
- 7+ years in Project Controls, Risk, or Cost/Schedule roles within Energy or EPC
- Experience on upstream, downstream, petrochemical, or major capital projects
- Strong understanding of EPC execution
, from FEED through construction - Proficiency with risk analysis tools (e.g., Primavera Risk Analysis, Acumen Risk, Safran, etc.)
- Working knowledge of estimating, planning, cost control
, and change management processes - Ability to run workshops, capture risks, and communicate findings clearly
- Strong Excel and reporting skills
- Able to work with multi‑disciplinary teams and contractors
Preferred
- Experience on projects $200MM–$10B+
- Familiarity with Monte Carlo simulations
- Experience in both owner and EPC environments
