Exxon Mobil s state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

What role you will play in our team

As a Commercial & Land Data Engineer working at Exxon Mobil, you will be a part of world class team and gain hands-on experience and skills working on projects that create an impact.

What you will do
  • Analyze the value and cost of innovation opportunities, and leverage internal resources, such as Land department personnel, IT department personnel, and members of other cross-functional departments to capture those opportunities.

  • Work with internal resources throughout Land to validate ideas; design business processes and procedures around these innovation opportunities.

  • Work with IT department personnel to design, test, implement, deploy and train new Land systems, tools, and enhancements to existing technologies.

  • Work with the Business Transformation team as Land’s Functional Lead to aid IT in the allocation of resources, planning, and budgeting of corporate projects.

  • Participate with other business units in the establishment and continued engagement of a community of continuous improvement.

  • Manage existing processes/technologies that enable innovation and automate ownership calculations.

  • Assist Business Development to analyze incoming opportunities.

About you

Skills and

Qualifications:

  • Exxon Mobil is seeking applicants with Upstream oil and gas knowledge and 3+ years of in-house land/commercial experience with a Bachelors in Data Management and/or Business Administration.

  • Applicants must have excellent collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills, and have the ability to deliver results in a performance-driven and team-oriented environment.

  • Significant experience and interest in land and data management



Preferred Qualifications /

Experience:

  • Strong critical thinking skills; ability to exercise business judgement/make sound decisions

  • Detail-oriented and capable of producing results in time constrained situations involving complex oil and gas ownership calculations

  • Adaptable to changing business needs and requests

  • Experience with land transactions

  • Proficiency with Land Systems, ESRI, Alteryx, PowerBI
