What You'll DoAs a CADD Operator / Drafter I, you'll turn markups and field information into accurate, neat construction documents that support multidiscipline project delivery. You'll coordinate with Project Managers, engineers, designers, and vendors to keep drawings consistent with standards and ready for review.
- Use markups from senior engineers/designers to develop design layouts and detailed sheets.
- Review drawings, incorporate redlines, and ensure accuracy, neatness, and adherence to CADD standards and naming conventions.
- Place equipment, outlets, and other design elements using industry software and direction from the design team.
- Coordinate with team members, Project Managers, other disciplines, and vendors to obtain required information for drawings.
- Develop and correct plan layouts in collaboration with multiple engineering disciplines; assist with legend and large scale detail sheets.
- Organize drawing sets into clear, complete packages; maintain well-structured project files.
- Assist with data collection and field verification under team direction; update drawings to reflect site conditions.
- Attend project planning meetings as needed and perform other nondrafting assignments to support the team.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associates or technical degree in engineering drafting/CADD operation or equivalent experience
- AutoCAD Certification preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD; strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Understanding of building design specifications and general engineering theories/methodologies.
- Clear written and verbal communication; strong comprehension and followthrough on direction and feedback.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven with sound judgment and decision-making.
