What Are We Looking For?The Experienced Geotechnical Lab Technician II is responsible for performing a variety of construction materials testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or form detailed controlled procedures.

What You’ll Do- Operate testing equipment and conduct geotechnical lab testing, (example:
Atterberg Limits, Sieve Analysis, Unconfined Compressive (UC) strength test, Triaxial tests (UU, CU), Swell test, permeability tests etc.) independently or with minimum help. - Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams to complete work.
- Maintain and calibrate standard equipment.
- Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.
- At least 1 year of geotechnical laboratory testing experience. Construction experience is not considered.
- ASTM soil lab testing experience.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
- Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed.
- Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication (hearing) and to make discriminations in sound.
- Ability to kneel and squat occasionally.
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
- Ability to climb occasionally, and work at various heights.
- Ability to work overnight hours and off shift.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
