Buyer- Civil Engineering

Wills Bros are currently seeking an experienced Buyer to join the delivery of the West Apron Vehicle Underpass (WAVU) at Dublin Airport — a landmark infrastructure project shaping the future of airport operations.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of Ireland’s leading civil engineering contractors on a high-profile infrastructure project.

As a Construction Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting project delivery through efficient procurement of materials, goods, and services. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong commercial awareness, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.

• Source and procure construction materials, plant, and services ensuring quality, value, and timely delivery
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships and negotiate competitive pricing and terms
• Monitor procurement costs and identify cost‑saving opportunities
• Coordinate deliveries and manage on‑site inventory to support project schedules
• Collaborate closely with project managers and site teams to meet programme requirements
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, regulations, and sustainability objectives

• 3–5 years’ experience in construction or civil engineering procurement/buyer role essential
• Proven experience as a Buyer or similar procurement role
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
• Strong knowledge of Dublin supplier market essential
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail
• Proficiency in COINS software, Microsoft Office, SharePoint essential
• Solid understanding of sourcing strategies and contract management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritise and work independently in a fast‑paced environment
• Knowledge of procurement regulations and compliance standards
