Purposeof the Role
You will be responsible for leading Worley's global Quality Control programs focused on welding, non-destructive examination (NDE), and ASME code compliance. This means defining and implementing world-class quality strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enabling continuous improvement across diverse, complex, and high-value projects. Your leadership will influence how our teams execute quality from design to delivery-driving excellence, safety, and consistency across every region where Worley operates.
CoreResponsibilities
- Develop and oversee the implementation of strategic quality programs and policies aligned with Worley's vision, mission, and operational priorities.
- Lead the global Welding, NDE, and ASME Code Programs, ensuring alignment with applicable codes, client requirements, and industry best practices.
- Serve as Worley's technical authority for quality control, offering expert consultation on global projects and providing guidance to both technical and executive leaders.
- Collaborate across functions to integrate quality into all project phases, from engineering and procurement through fabrication, construction, and commissioning.
- Provide leadership and direction to regional and project-level quality teams, setting clear expectations, mentoring talent, and fostering a collaborative and accountable culture.
- Oversee the evaluation, qualification, and audit of suppliers, contractors, and third-party inspection agencies to maintain consistent global standards.
- Partner with executive management to drive global strategies, resource planning, and business improvements that elevate overall quality performance.
- Ensure continuous improvement by identifying trends, developing corrective and preventive actions, and implementing new systems and processes that support operational excellence.
- Represent Worley in client, regulatory, and industry forums-enhancing the organization's reputation as a thought leader in quality assurance and control.
- A university degree or equivalent in engineering, quality management, or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in quality control, welding engineering, or related disciplines-ideally within large-scale industrial, petrochemical, or energy projects.
- Recognized as a functional expert and thought leader, with deep knowledge of ASME codes, international welding standards, and NDE methodologies.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing diverse teams across multiple geographies and disciplines.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage confidently at executive and board levels.
- Proven success in developing long-term strategies and translating them into actionable, measurable programs.
- A collaborative mindset-committed to inclusion, knowledge-sharing, and enabling others to succeed.
- Advanced understanding of quality management systems, processes, and digital tools, with the ability to teach, guide, and innovate within them.
