Technical Manager

Job Description:

• The Technical Manager provides centralized technical leadership across all Data Center projects within the portfolio.
• This role ensures effective management of technical interfaces, alignment between engineering, procurement, and construction teams, and proactive resolution of technical risks before they impact delivery.
• The position focuses on execution oversight of client-provided designs rather than performing design activities.

• Provide centralized technical leadership across multiple Data Center projects.
• Ensure effective management of technical interfaces, queries, and execution risks.
• Maintain alignment between construction, procurement, and engineering contractors.
• Identify and promote modularization and standardization opportunities.
• Support predictable execution through proactive technical issue resolution.

• 18–25 years of experience in technical management, construction engineering coordination, or execution-focused leadership on large-scale Data Center projects.
• Extensive experience delivering Data Center projects.
• Strong background managing execution of client-provided designs without producing engineering deliverables.
• Proven experience coordinating multiple engineering contractors, suppliers, and construction teams.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve complex technical interface issues in multi-project environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or 25+ years of relevant execution-focused technical leadership experience.

• Act as the primary technical point of contact across the project portfolio, supporting Program and Project Managers.
• Manage and oversee technical interfaces between client designs, engineering contractors, PEMB suppliers, and construction teams.
• Guide site engineering and field teams in resolving technical queries, clashes, and execution challenges.
• Coordinate responses to RFIs, clarifications, and deviations in line with contractual and design requirements.
• Provide technical oversight of BIM and digital model coordination without performing model authoring or design work.
• Ensure consistent interpretation and application of design documentation across projects.
• Identify and promote modularization and standardization strategies to improve constructability and efficiency.
• Bridge technical gaps between construction, procurement, logistics, and engineering contractors.
• Support technical review of supplier and subcontractor deliverables.
• Provide visibility of technical risks to program leadership with clear impact analysis on schedule, cost, and constructability.

• Experience with modular construction or standardized building systems.
• Background working with PEMB structures, vendor-engineered packages, or multi-contractor engineering models.
• Experience operating at portfolio or program level across multiple concurrent projects.

• Strong technical interface management and coordination capabilities.
• Advanced problem-solving and risk assessment skills.
• Leadership and cross-functional communication expertise.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively.

• Requires close coordination with Program Management, clients, engineering contractors, suppliers, and site leadership.
• Periodic site presence required to support issue resolution and technical reviews across the portfolio.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management required, or equivalent extensive execution-focused technical leadership experience.
