Jobdescription About the Role
The I&C HSE Advisor is a field-based role that provides on‑site Health, Safety and Environment guidance and assurance across installation and commissioning scopes (SURF, subsea, hook‑up, and offshore commissioning). The position reports to the I&C HSE Lead and works closely with the Installation & Commissioning Manager, Site Representatives, Delivery Managers, and contractor for HSE teams.
Duties & Responsibilities- Execute project HSE plans and routines on board installation vessels and at shorebase; embed risk controls into day‑to‑day operations.
- Support risk assessments (Campaign, Vessel, Task‑level); verify critical controls and ALARP decisions using bowties and checklists.
- Participate in SIMOPS planning and toolbox talks; reinforce STOP Work Authority and Life‑Saving Rules.
- Conduct field leadership, inspections, and HSE verifications in work areas (deck, crane ops, diving spreads, ROV control, warehouses).
- Monitor contractor HSE performance against Trion Contractor HSER&S Minimum Requirements and bridging documents; raise gaps and follow up corrective actions.
- Assist with incident reporting and investigations (ICAM/5‑Whys); ensure learning capture and timely close‑out in First Priority.
- Contribute to HSE assurance program (Level 1/2 verifications); record compliance evidence prior to phase start and during execution.
- Support emergency response readiness (drills, muster, medevac coordination) and occupational health risk management.
- Coach and influence contractor supervisors and crew on hazard identification, hierarchy of controls, and safe work behaviours.
- Engage with marine assurance requirements for project vessels and align with Woodside standards where applicable.

- Bachelor’s degree in HSE, Engineering, or equivalent experience (preferred).
- 5–8 years of HSE experience in offshore oil & gas; minimum 3 years in subsea/SURF installation or commissioning. Deepwater experience strongly preferred.
- Recognised HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH/IOSH); valid offshore survival and medical certifications.
- Proficiency in incident investigation methodologies (ICAM, 5‑Whys) and human factors concepts.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, ISO 45001, IOGP standards; familiarity with SIMOPS and marine operations.
- Experience with contractor management, bridging documents, and assurance activities.
- Comfortable with digital tools/BI dashboards for HSE performance monitoring.
- Strong field presence and visible safety leadership; able to influence in high‑risk environments.
- Analytical problem‑solving and risk‑based decision‑making; task‑oriented and delivery focused.
- Clear communication and coordination skills across multicultural teams (Spanish/English an advantage).
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing schedules.
- Field‑based rotation offshore and/or project‑based travel between Houston, Tampico shorebase, and offshore vessels.
