ObjectiveThis position leads mid-to-large-scale transportation and civil engineering projects across the full project lifecycle, from concept development through final delivery. The role requires direct oversight of multidisciplinary project teams, client and agency coordination, and accountability for schedule, budget, and technical quality. Candidates should bring extensive experience managing DOT-funded highway, bridge, or traffic projects and a demonstrated ability to navigate complex public processes and regulatory approvals.
Responsibilities- Lead mid-to-large-scale transportation projects through all phases, including initial setup, safety analysis, planning, and kick-off.
- Manage project budgets, staffing plans, schedules, and scope to ensure timely and on-budget delivery.
- Direct design strategy and coordinate across internal teams, clients, partners, and agencies to maintain alignment with project goals.
- Oversee project billing, client status updates, QA/QC of all deliverables, and formal project closeout.
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to project team members.
- Prepare project proposals and serve as the primary client contact throughout the project engagement.
- Support business development efforts by delivering quality work, expanding service visibility, and building long-term client relationships.
- Navigate complex public-involvement processes and secure required municipal and agency approvals.
- Represent the firm in relevant professional organizations, industry boards, and community activities.
- B.S. in Civil Engineering required.
- 10 or more years of experience in civil transportation engineering, including project management of DOT-funded highway, bridge, or traffic projects.
- Proven record of managing projects from design through delivery at a senior level.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Established history of developing and maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license, or demonstrated progress toward licensure.
- Proficiency in Micro Station.
- Familiarity with PennDOT design standards, specifications, and project delivery
