Marine Service Engineer – Houston Marine Service EngineerJob Summary
Under limited supervision, the Marine Service Engineer (MSE) will install, service, and repair electronic equipment on board ships. The MSE will test, adjust, and troubleshoot components, PCBs, sub-assemblies, and antennas as well as load, update, and modify software. The MSE will utilize his/her knowledge of electronic theory and circuitry to address a variety of technical problems and make intelligent use of complex schematics, blueprints, and manuals to accurately achieve assignments.
Upon completion of the service order, the MSE will compose a detailed service report.

- 3+ years of experience as an MST, MET or ET in commercial shipping or the Navy, Coast Guard, or Marines.
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent education, training, and experience.
- Strong knowledge of electronics theory and application.
- Valid FCC General License with Radar Endorsement and GMDSS Radio Operator Maintainer License preferred.
- Be physically fit. Work environment often involves carrying up to 50 lbs., climbing ladders and masts, and exposure to weather.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required.
