Someone in this role would typically have a completed Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering with a B average or better and roughly 5+ years of corporate experience.
Responsibilities- Independent design, analysis, and production of electrical equipment and printed circuit boards.
- Testing, certification, and delivery of space-flight electrical elements.
- Example disciplines: circuit board layout, microprocessor and/or FPGA programming, sensor interfaces and integration, data communication protocols, BLDC and stepper motor control, and power system electronics.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering with 5+ years of corporate experience.
- Hands‑on experience in the design, analysis, production, and testing of digital and analog circuits.
- Proficient knowledge of electrical design software tools:
Altium and SVN version control for design collaboration at a minimum. Working knowledge of (H/LT/P) SPICE analysis. - Proficient and experienced with either FPGA programming using VHDL/Verilog and/or C++ programming.
- Knowledge and experience with laboratory test equipment including logic, spectrum, and power analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and emulators for processors/microcontrollers.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with space radiation environments, electromagnetic environments, physical launch environments, and thermal heat dissipation at ambient and vacuum conditions.
- Knowledge of aerospace/government requirements and guidelines including electromagnetic compatibility analysis and testing requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None. However, this position requires independent design capabilities without consistent needs for mentorship/oversight.
Reporting Relationship:
This position reports to the Electrical Engineering Group Manager. Technical direction will often come from a more experienced lead design engineer.

Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
